Schedule Details

Day 1: Arrival in Srinagar
  • Transfer from Srinagar airport or bus station to your accommodation at Dal Lake.
  • Enjoy a warm Kashmiri welcome with tea, dinner, and breakfast.
Day 2: Srinagar to Naranag (Drive) and Trunkhol (Trek)
  • Drive to Naranag and commence trekking through pine forests and meadows to Trunkhol.
  • Experience the natural beauty and tranquility of the surroundings during the 9 km trek.
Day 3: Trunkhol to Gangabal Lake
  • Trek to Gangabal Lake, located at an altitude of 3700m, amidst stunning Himalayan vistas.

Day 4: Leisure Day at Gangabal
  • Explore the enchanting twin lakes of Gangabal and Nundkol, or simply unwind amidst nature's beauty.
Day 5: Gangabal to Naranag Trek, Drive to Srinagar
  • Trek back to Naranag village and drive to Srinagar for a comfortable overnight stay at a deluxe houseboat or hotel.
Day 6: Departure from Srinagar
  • Transfer to Srinagar airport or bus station for your onward journey.

What to Carry ?

Travel light with essential items including passport, money, and camera gear. Ensure you have adequate warm clothing, trekking shoes, rain gear, and personal medications.

Fitness

Participants should have a good level of general fitness to undertake this trek. Minimum fitness requirements include trekking up to 10km per day, daily activity of up to 5 hours, and carrying up to 5kg in a day sack. Be prepared for remote and sometimes challenging terrain at altitudes of up to 3700m.
