Schedule Details

Day 1: Arrival at Aru Valley, Pahalgam
  • Arrive at Aru Valley (Alt. 2450m) and meet our staff for briefings
  • Transfer to the tented campsite in Aru Village
  • Welcome Tea and dinner at the campsite
Day 2: Aru to Lidderwat
  • Trek from Aru to Lidderwat covering a distance of 9 km in approximately 5 hours
  • Enjoy the scenic beauty of pine forests and clear streams along the way
  • Overnight stay at Lidderwat campsite
Day 3: Lidderwat to Sekhwas
  • Trek from Lidderwat to Sekhwas covering a distance of 6 km in approximately 5 hours
  • Traverse through pine forests and reach the camping grounds of Sekhwas
  • Overnight stay at Sekhwas campsite
Day 4: Sekhwas to Tarsar Lake
  • Trek from Sekhwas to Tarsar Lake covering a distance of 5 km in approximately 4 hours
  • Explore the turquoise blue waters of Tarsar Lake surrounded by lush meadows and snow-capped peaks
  • Overnight stay at Tarsar campsite
Day 5: Tarsar to Sundersar
  • Trek from Tarsar to Sundersar covering a distance of 7 km in approximately 5 hours

  • Overnight stay at Sundersar campsite
Day 6: Sundersar to Homwas via Marsar
  • Trek from Sundersar to Homwas via Marsar covering a distance of 9 km in approximately 6 hours
  • Explore the Marsar Lake and descend to the picturesque Homwas valley
  • Overnight stay at Homwas campsite
Day 7: Homwas to Aru
  • Descend from Homwas to Aru covering a distance of 13 km in approximately 6 hours
  • Conclude the trek at Aru and proceed to your next destination

What to Carry ?
  • The trek is supported by horses, so you will only need to carry a light sack weighing about 4-6kg for essential items like your passport, money, and camera gear.
Fitness

  • Our trek is achievable by anyone with a healthy lifestyle and a good level of general fitness. Minimum fitness requirements include:

    • Trek up to 10km per day
    • Daily activity of up to 5 hours
    • Carry up to 5kg in a day sack
